Propylen (nylon) 5.0. non-absorbable surgical suture
It is mainly used for the retention in contact or the convergence of soft tissues even in ophthalmological operations, in operations on the cardiovascular and nervous system.
It is highly web compatible. It is not absorbed, it is not degraded and it is not weakened by the action of proteolytic enzymes.
Due to the fact that it is almost inert in relation to tissues, its use is recommended in cases where the minimum possible reaction is desired. It is especially recommended for use on wounds that are either infected, or easily infected afterwards.
The PROPYLEN suture does not adhere to the tissues, resulting in its easy and painless removal.
It is usually removed within a month.
