NEOSORB PGLA 3/0 polyglactin sutures 75cm long with a 19mm needle cutting 3/8 of the circle (N633).

NEOSORB PGLA 3/0 polyglactin sutures 75cm long with a 19mm needle cutting 3/8 of the circle (N633).
They are indicated for retention in contact and/or convergence of soft tissues, in ophthalmological operations but its use is not indicated for the tissues of the central cardiovascular and central nervous system.
After implantation, it initially causes a mild inflammatory reaction of the tissue, followed by the gradual formation of a fibrous tissue capsule.
The suture is degraded by hydrolysis processes, where the copolymer breaks down into glycolic and lactic acid, and with a gradual reduction in its strength and eventually absorbed by the tissues. It has more than 50% residual strength after three weeks
Suture absorption is complete in 56-70 days.
